Cross Your Legs When You Cough, Sneeze or Laugh? Sound Like Anyone You Know?

Location: Gulf Room

Monday, February 7, 2022 ~ 2:15PM - 3:15PM

Female incontinence is not your usual topic of conversation, however, if you get a group of ladies together and ask them to raise their hand if they have to cross their legs when they cough, sneeze or laugh, the majority of women will likely raise their hands.  This session will review the types of female incontinence and what causes female incontinence.  While most women are familiar with kegel exercises, it’s difficult to measure successful outcomes.  Discuss therapies available for treatment including office-based, surgical, and at-home.

Learning Objectives:

- Understand the different types of female incontinence.
- Identify the causes of female incontinence.
- Review treatment options for the different types of female incontinence, including clinical, surgical, and at-home.
- Explain new advancements for treatment.
