Advanced Fitting Solutions for the Experienced Fitter

This class provides a review of the different types of breast cancer surgeries, the bra and breast form shapes and profiles, as well as the principles of fitting according to the patient’s anatomical shape. It will also include examples of challenging cases, including before and after reconstruction, and feature newly
available postoperative solutions.

Learning Objectives: 

- Identify the patient’s profile and shape based on surgery type and chest wall anatomy.
- Understand the differences in bra and breast form styles.
- Select the best possible postoperative solution.
- Offer solutions to challenges experienced by fitters for their patients who are undergoing staged reconstruction, or have had a lumpectomy or have experienced tissue changes due to radiation.

CEUs:
This session has been approved for 1.5 Scientific credits through the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) and 1.25 Category I Scientific credits through the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC).
